While others are still finding their way back |
And a very few survived... |
While directly across the street, their neighbor is gone |
And older couple moved on selling out to a younger couple |
I remember Kim talking to her friend at this house and was shocked it was now gone |
This is what most of the town looks like now |
Some are still cleaning and some have abandoned their property |
And some are in the final stages of completing what the tornado didn't finish |
I assume there is a basement under this tarp |
Notice the mailboxes; try to imagine house after house gone in your town... you can't |
Signs of rebuilding outside of town |
Notice the damage to roads by the heavy equipment |
Lot after lot; hundreds of reminders |
 FEMA Land |
450 trailers being moved in |
First home to start rebuilding |
 I am in awe |
Imagine the work to add all the utilities |
It will be a small town in itself |
This is suppose to be temporary; two years max |
I ask Kim where the tornado shelter is being built ... |
Since we all now a trailer park is a tornado magnet |
Too bad they couldn't just have the trailer to park by their home while they rebuild |
And the houses that remain are so noticeable |
Another lot of destroyed vehicles and one was moved in as we passed by |
It is both inspirational to see the progress and overwhelmingly sad |
Notice the flowers and it is like time stood still and just removed the house |
Flowers, trees, grass all coming back to life |
Would it have been easier if it was destroyed completely? |
 Tennis courts |
Steps climb to no where |
 Remains of the school |
